While doing one of my essays for school, I've been looking into the debt ceiling of this country. I've realized that the United States borrows more money than they receive. Similar to the quote "they bite more than they can chew", is basically what the United States is doing. While reading through some articles I saw that the United States Congress made new laws to be able to borrow money more easier. These laws are the First Liberty Loan Act and the Second Liberty Bond Act, both which were made in 1917.
At the start of this whole system, the United States Congress placed the debt ceiling as $43 billion. This is a lot money to us, but what the current debt ceiling is, its outrageous. The current debt ceiling is, as of November 18, 2013 is $16.699 trillion. Yes thats right close to $17 trillion, and the outstanding part is that the debt ceiling increases everyday. It is said that the debt ceiling increases by approximate 200 million dollars and hour. This is more that people make in a lifetime. If you wish to read more of this article, you can press Link and it'll take you to a Q. and A. in the New York Times. This is an old article, but it tells you a lot about it, and gives you an estimate on what the debt ceiling was in 2011. This was $14.3 trillion, and in this link it'll show you what presidents had the debt, and who held the debt.

Being the Problem (ID)
In leadership class with Mr. Davenport we were learning
about two great leaders in our past. They were Booker T. Washington, and W.E.B.
Dubois. While learning about these leaders, W.E.B. Dubois came up with an
interesting question. How does it feel to be a problem. This aroused several
questions within the class, and it became a discussion on our own status.
The thought of being a problem, not only to other people, but to the society had me roused up. I've thought long and hard about what W.E.B Dubois said on how it feels to be a problem. The only thing that comes up to mind is my ethnicity. I've realized that the community I live in doesn't have me feel like I am a problem, but when I reach college I might feel it. They might look at me different because I’m not Caucasian, but may look cause of the color of my skin. The only way I can think to make a difference in my life is to stand up for me, and the rest who are being pushed to believe that they are the problem.

Baseball Practice (FC)
There are still months until our season starts up, but everyday we wait we have to practice. Many believe that we live in a fairy tale world where if we go to practice once or twice we're going to get better. This is wrong my friend because that does not show dedication to the sport you are applying your self in. You need to continuously apply yourself in practice, and learn from your mistakes if you are to get better in the future. Sadly this may be the case for many of our teammates. When a select few of us are out there everyday we can to practice, the majority are home, doing nothing.
My teammates need to take this sport as serious as I take my school work. I understand that you may not be able to make it certain days, but at least make the initiative to practice once or twice when we go. While reading this you may believe I'm throwing "subs", but I'm honestly no trying too. I'm only speaking what I feel. If we are planning to take the championship we need to work hard. Thankfully there is a team practice this Friday, and hopefully this motivates everyone else to come when we choose to go another day. In the end we have to enjoy the sport because it is a game, but taking the championship will make everything much more sweeter.
